This week's happies and crappies

Happies
New friends.  I've met a new friends this year, a fellow student, and we're becoming good friends.  I am so happy for her because she just found out she got hired for a job/internship in May!  It was really hard to get in (big competition) and she got in and I'm so happy for her.  She deserves it.  I love when good things happen to good people.
My own internship.  So far so good friends!  I don't see the time go by when I'm at work...is it possible to enjoy this job so much??  The work is fun and people friendly (and inspiring).  I couldn't ask for a better place to do my internship.

Just finished a book.  I just finished the book I was reading, Kissing Fish.  Isn't it a great feeling of accomplishment to finish a good book?
Crappies
My son.  Last week's crappy was about my son having a broken heart :(  This week's crappy is about my son having a fever.  He went to bed at 7:30 last night, very weird for him.  He woke up this morning with a high fever.  His symptoms resemble those of the regular flu, but we're keeping a close eye on him because as soon as the Tylenol wears off, the fever goes right back up.  He's eating (a bit) and drinking and watching movies, so he seems ok.  But if by tomorrow night the fever is still there, I'm bringing him to the clinic.

The weather. It's still cold and slushy in Ottawa.  And I'm still trying to convince husband to move somewhere warmer one day...

  1. Oh yeah, I'd go for the sun vs that snowy slushie crap ANY DAY. We're dealing with the cold and still some snow flurries here in Germany too. It's frustrating, I am ready for warmth.

  4. Love this series. Let me know if you figure out a way to convince your husband that picture #2 is better. I need to do the same!
