First day of juicing
We tried out our juicer and it's so much fun! A bit messy, but I was expecting that. Today was also grocery day and I was happy to find *BAGS* of (good) fruits in the discount section. I swear, they were in perfectly good shape. I bought a bunch of bags for 50% of the price. Sean said it's because some of them had "bruises" and the store doesn't like to keep bruised produce on display. I'll be shopping in that area more often. It's great for juicing!
This is what we used for our first try:
4 Mandarins, a bunch cilantro, 4 beets, 4 apples.
I can't wait to try out different veggies and fruits. This first try was fantastic.
So far so good!
I'm glad you're having good luck with mixing fruits and veggies. On our first try with our blender we didn't make such a good tasting concoction. oh well, live and learn! :) What are you going to try next?
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find discounted bags of fruit?!?! This I must know! I don't have a juicer, but I make shakes all the time and love them! Spinnach is always an ingredient I use.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good first experience!!
It looks delicious. I hope you share some of your other yummy mixtures! I'm really struggling to straighten out my post-holiday diet. It never fails. The holidays always derail my workout and eating habits. I was eight weeks into my couch-to-marathon training when December hit. Getting back on that wagon has not gone very well!
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thanks so much for following my blog, am following you too :D
